Before you buy any service like this, ask one question: if I cancel, which of these improvements do I keep?

With most tools of this kind, the honest answer is none of them. They work by adding a small script to your website that rewrites your pages while a visitor is looking at them. The moment you stop paying, the script stops running and your pages quietly go back to exactly how they were. You were renting improvements to your own website.

How it works here

The improvements are part of your website itself. There is nothing running on our end holding them in place. So if you cancel:

• Your site carries on working exactly as it was, because nothing was ever being propped up.
• Every improvement we made stays where it is.
• The full record of what changed and why stays too, so any web person can see the reasoning.
• We simply stop making new changes. That is the entire effect of cancelling.

And if you would rather have the original back

Before we touch anything, we take a complete copy of your website as it is on day one, and we keep it for as long as you are a client.

If you ever decide you preferred it the way it was, you can ask for that copy back and we will put it in place. Almost nobody does — the improvements are the reason people are here — but the option removes the thing that actually worries people, which is the feeling of handing over something they cannot get back.

Worth knowing: the copy is your site as it stood on the day we started, so anything you added yourself since then would need adding again. We will tell you exactly what that is before we restore anything.

Why we work this way

Making a customer stay is not the same as being worth staying with. A service that can only keep people by holding their website hostage has told you what it privately thinks of its own results.
